Trumpet

Bruce Formsma, originally from Zeeland, is the principal trumpeter for the Holland Symphony Orchestra. He graduated with honors from Hope College and the University of Michigan where he received his master's degree in trumpet performance. He returned to Hope College as a trumpet instructor for nearly ten years and was also a member of the Kalamazoo Symphony for nine years. For twenty-five years he educated young musicians, most recently at Zeeland Christian School. Currently he is a private trumpet instructor and a frequent soloist in the area.
